What is ListMD?

ListMD is a MailChimp Labs app that gives you information on how your MailChimp lists are performing. It checks your lists every hour of every day to gather stats, so you can gain insight from your reports.

What metrics does ListMD show me about my lists?

Here it goes:

  • Net List Growth (avg/day, min, max)
  • Hard bounces (avg/day, min, max, breakdown per campaign per day)
  • Soft bounces (avg/day, min, max, breakdown per campaign per day)
  • Unsubscribes (avg/day, min, max, breakdown per campaign per day)
  • Abuse reports (avg/day, min, max, breakdown per campaign per day)
  • Forwards (avg/day, min, max, breakdown per campaign per day)
  • Forwards opens (avg/day, min, max, breakdown per campaign per day)
  • Opens (avg/day, min, max, breakdown per campaign per day)
  • Unique opens (avg/day, min, max, breakdown per campaign per day)
  • Clicks (avg/day, min, max, breakdown per campaign per day)
  • Unique clicks (avg/day, min, max, breakdown per campaign per day)
  • Emails sent (avg/day, min, max)
  • Subscriptions (avg/day, min, max)
  • Cleaned emails (avg/day, min, max)

MailChimp gives you most of this data per campaign—ListMD aggregates each campaign's data to generate a collection of stats per list.

How long does it take until I can see some data?

ListMD takes one day from the time you activate to generate the first point of data. ListMD can't get historical data from MailChimp's API, so it will only show information about your list from the day you signed up.

Why can't you show me historical data about my list?

We wish we could, but it would take a whole lot of floppy disks to store historical data for everyone's lists. We can't afford that many floppy disks, so we created ListMD. It starts storing your historical data the day you sign up.

What are "custom series"?

Custom series track the size of your MailChimp list's interest groups in ListMD.

If you have interest groups tracking the source of your subscribers, like "website," "iphone app," and "in-store," you can add those to ListMD, and we'll keep tabs on the groups in the same way that we look at the other metrics of your list.
